A number of programs are available to the founders of new ventures as well as established companies and includes competitive grants; technical, business development and sales and marketing bootcamps; coaching; mentoring; training and office space.
These programs are in line with a number of proven initiatives across the world enabling the creation and support of high-growth start-up companies. Such initiatives include Y-combinator in the Silicon Valley and Sydney-based Startmate. The inclusion of an Exit Program for companies is a new initiative in the ilab model not seen in other accelerators.
Unlike traditional incubators, which charge companies cash fees for the support they provide, accelerators invest cash and services in the companies they support. Both models involve hands-on work with a portfolio of companies in the form of coaching, mentoring and assistance in technical development, business planning, execution strategy and further fund raising.
Accelerator programs are intensive, time-limited (generally no more than six months) and based on multiple intakes each year. Click below to view the current Programs on offer at ilab.
