Veterinary personnel currently record critical anaesthetic data via pen and paper. This can, and often does, lead to severe legal negligence for medical notes that are incomplete or not recorded on practice management software. These practices are also inefficient, costing clinics in time and money. Clinics need to modernise, and practice medicine in a way that maximises staff efficiency, while providing clients with a greater customer experience.
Conversely, pet owners are currently left without any information on their pet’s status whilst they are at the veterinary hospital having an anaesthetic. This can be a very stressful experience, which negatively impacts their relationship with their veterinarian. Phone calls cost veterinary clinics money, and time if answering the phone for a client who calls frequently during the day.
